The Mine and Exploration Areas for Coal and Others (Western Mongolia)

As from 2007, MEC entered into various acquisitions for coal and ferrous resources projects. Up to 31 March 2021, MEC has 100% ownership on 12,807 hectares of mining and exploration concessions. These are set out in the diagram below and are for coal and ferrous resources.

Remarks:

From exploration of over 600 hectares during 2007, MEC demonstrated 460 million tonnes of coal resources* of which 181 million tonnes comprise premium coking coal resources under Chinese classification.

141 million tonnes of in-place resources according to Australasian Code for Reporting on Exploration Results, Mineral Resources and Ore Reserves ("JORC") is reported from further analytical work.
